New Connection to Skiing on Monte Elmo - Croda Rossa
Winter holidays at the Caravan Park Sexten are better than ever because now there’s an exciting new attraction, thanks to the link that’s recently been constructed with the ski resorts of Monte Elmo and Croda Rossa. This is a thrilling development for winter sports enthusiasts because it significantly increases the choice of rip-roaring ski slopes and ensures even more fun for those who choose Sesto as the destination for their skiing holidays. This physical connection to the ski resorts is the latest addition to the existing "Signaue" cable cars and provides eight-seater gondolas, already christened the "Tre Cime" or Three Peaks cable cars. Capable of transporting 2,000 people an hour, the new cable cars climb a difference in altitude of 654 metres and give access to the resort known as the "Orto del Toro" (literally the Bull’s Garden!) above the Pendio Monte Elmo mountain shelter on the Sesto – M. Elmo ski slope.

Even More Fun on the New Ski Slopes
As well as the ultra-modern cable car system, access to new ski slopes has been extended: the “Tre Cime” ski slope is a breathtakingly beautiful descent over a distance of 2,355 metres at an average gradient of 28%, while the “Orto del Toro" slope is made up of 1,354 metres of guaranteed Dolomites’ thrills at an average gradient of 27%. Both slopes are recommended both for beginners and those skiers seeking challenging ski runs.

The new ski train: the Ski-Pustertal Express
Our guests at Caravan Park Sexten and the Patzenfeld Mountain Resort can start skiing or snowboarding right from the doorstep and hurtle along endless ski slopes where the fun is guaranteed. You can park the car and forget all about it during your skiing holiday. You can even get to the ski resort of Plan de Corones without ever putting the key in the ignition. From Monte Elmo, you can descend to Versciaco and once you’re there, the Ski-Pustertal-Express train will transport you to Ried, below Plan de Corones, in just 40 minutes. When you take a skiing holiday in Sexten Caravan Park, more than 200 kilometres of top-class ski slopes are laid out before you – all you have to do is enjoy them!
