San Candido is offering a unique Underground Christmas Market located in the Dolomythos Museum. During this time the Museum offers free entrances, which allows every visitor to enjoy and experience a complete new world of attractions. Visitors are engaging in the history of our world heritage area named ‘Dolomites’ while also experiencing the cosiness and warmth only found in the mountains. Your journey will experience a complete and worth seeing harmony cooperated with the countless huts offering Christmas gifts, luxuries, local handicraft and culinary.

By minibus (the first 8 registered persons can travel in the minibus of the Alpine School, all other persons take the public bus) from San Candido to Passo Monte Croce. At first hike through the light forests crossing the piste to Lago dell’Orso. Then, crossing the magnificent mountain woods to the panoramic summit of Colesei at 1972 m. Sensational views of the deep rock towers of the eastern Sesto Dolomites. Return to the starting point along the ascent route with some variants. Note: Don't forget your Südtirol Guest Pass when travelling by public bus! 3, 2, 1, down! ... is the motto at the start of the weekly guest ski race. Compete with other racers in a giant slalom - of course, the focus is on having fun! Being there is everything! Group course participants can take part in the race free of charge. All others pay €15.00.

The illuminated cross-country ski trail in Riscone offers a unique experience for skiing enthusiasts every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday until 8.00 pm. Perfectly groomed tracks and atmospheric lighting make gliding through the winter landscape a special highlight.

Monte Baranci is bathed in floodlight from 7-10pm and the atmosphere is fit for a world cup, providing both superlative night skiing and sledging on run a 3km in length. The Rifugio Gigante Baranci mountain hut is open.

When night falls, the slope from the Skilift Guggenberg in Tesido lights up brightly, inviting night owls to a truly special experience. Into the silence - a silent snowshoe hike From San Candido we take the minibus or private cars via Santa Maria to Monte Rota. Here, we start our circular hike through snowy forest clearings with breath-taking views of the Dolomites. We learn to recognise animal tracks in the snow, to read scats and to assign vomit to specific animals. The night slope "Circuito Waldheim" is an opportunity for all cross-country skiers who would like to do another lap after 5 pm. The cross-country ski run is ideal for beginners as well as for advanced skiers.
