Arzalpenturm Via Ferrata The Arzalpenturm Via Ferrata, dedicated to Bepi Martini & Much Happacher and to friendship, is a spectacular new via ferrata offering wonderful views of the eastern Dolomites. The route crosses the narrow summit of the Arzalpenturm and leads up to the panoramic summit of the Arzalpenkopf. The descent via the secured Salasteig route or via the Arzalpenscharte round off this eventful day in the mountains. Information Price: €180.00 per person (minimum of 3 participants) Includes: mountain guide, equipment and transfer Dates: Every saturday and daily on request Meeting point & start time The meeting point and start time will be agreed individually with the mountain guide, depending on the weather, season and accommodation. On Saturday, 5 September and Sunday, 6 September, the traditional village festival returns to Mitterolang. Two days filled with music, local traditions, community spirit and authentic customs, accompanied of course by plenty of food and drinks. The festivities begin on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. with the raising of the traditional “Kirschtamichlbam” festival tree. From 6:00 p.m., the Stegen Music Band will provide musical entertainment, followed by the group “Rifflblech” from 8:30 p.m. Sunday begins at 8:30 a.m. with the festive church service and the traditional procession. From 11:00 a.m., the Trachtenkapelle Schäffern from Styria, Austria, will perform. One of the highlights of the festival is the grand parade at 2:00 p.m., bringing local traditions and customs vividly to life. Afterwards, the Feldthurns Music Band will entertain visitors from 3:00 p.m. From 5:00 p.m., the group “Oberwind” will take over and provide a lively festival atmosphere. At 7:00 p.m., the lottery draw will take place. Afterwards, “Oberwind” will continue playing until the festival comes to an end. A traditional celebration for locals and visitors of all ages – the perfect opportunity to come together, enjoy the music and experience authentic South Tyrolean festival culture.

Gustav Mahler Music Weeks Toblach 2026 The 45th Gustav Mahler Music Weeks will take place in Toblach from 11 July to 5 September 2026 under the theme “The Beginning.” Alongside long-standing Artistic Director Josef Lanz, Dirk Kaftan will shape the festival programme for the first time. Highlights include concerts by the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn, and the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento, as well as performances by promising young international artists. The programme is complemented by lectures, a symposium, the traditional hike to Gustav Mahler’s composing hut, and special encounters with guests such as Massimo Cacciari and Reinhold Messner. The concerts take place in the Gustav Mahler Hall of the Grand Hotel Cultural Centre Toblach, surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of the Dolomites.
