The Alta Pusteria International Choral Festival is a non-competitive choral event that takes place in one of the most beautiful areas of the entire Alpine range, located at the foot of the Dolomites on the border between Italy and Austria. Born in 1998, in twenty-eight editions the Festival has recorded the presence of over 1,400 choirs from 52 countries. The program includes about sixty performances divided into real concerts, Open Air Reviews and Meeting Days, in which each participating choir can freely perform its repertoire. The variety of the locations together with the extremely rich repertoire presented by the participating choirs make this event not only one of the most spectacular international choral festivals but also a unique opportunity of mutual and fruitful exchange between different musical cultures. The Dolorock is a climbingfestival organized from climbers for climbers which takes place in the heart of the Dolomites.

On Trail Maintenance Day, volunteers take care of maintaining the hiking trails. Paths are checked, faded markings are refreshed, and minor repairs are carried out. The goal is to keep the trails safe, well-maintained, and easy to walk. Everyone is warmly invited to take part – every helping hand makes a difference!

San Candido celebrates the 29th birthday of the Festival by greeting the more than two thousand participants with a festive hugh that lasts throughout the day. The program? Concerts everywhere and, above all, the most spectacular and awaited event: the great "Parade of Choirs". And, among the various performances, don't forget to try some typical dishes, accompanying them with a good glass of wine!

Choir Festival in the Heart of the Dolomites From 10 to 14 June 2026, the Val Pusteria/Pustertal valley will turn into a grand stage for choral music: during the Alta Pusteria International Choir Festival, around 2,800 singers from all over the world will come together to perform in the breathtaking setting of the Dolomites – from East Tyrol to Brunico/Bruneck, from the Ahrntal Valley to Val Comelico and the 3 Peaks Dolomites region. The festival will feature 25 Italian and 34 international choirs, filling the valley with music and voices from around the world. In addition to concerts at the music pavilion in the centre of Dobbiaco/Toblach, in the parish church, and outdoors at the Three Peaks Viewpoint in Landro, visitors can also enjoy a varied musical programme at the Euregio Cultural Centre, including seven concerts in the Gustav Mahler Hall. The festival offers a truly special choral experience, set against the unique mountain scenery of the Dolomites.

The highlight of this festival! All the choirs participating walk trough the pedestrian zone and gather in the main square - Piazza del Magistrato. There they are going to sing a couple of songs together. Wonderful emotions guaranteed! The Parade will be introduced by the three Bands of San Candido, Versciaco e Prato Drava.
