On September 5 and 6, Antholz and Dobbiaco will be all about ski rolling. The event kicks off on Saturday with the sprint at the Südtirol Arena Antholz. The athletes will compete over a 1.3 km course in freestyle technique, aiming for the fastest times. On Sunday, the competition continues at the Nordic Arena Dobbiaco with the individual race. Depending on the category, the athletes will compete over distances of 7.5 or 10 km. Two days dedicated to ski rolling, with a variety of races, a great sporting atmosphere and the stunning backdrop of the South Tyrolean Dolomites.

Morning pint by the Tesido Volunteer Fire Brigade from 09:00 am. on the village square in Tesido. Delicious grilled specialities, drinks stand and musical accompaniment by the Tesido music band.

Everything tastes better on the mountain, including breakfast! This is probably thanks to the fresh air and the great panoramic view. For brunch at the Ristorante Monte Elmo, it's definitely worth jumping out of bed early, even on weekends.

On September 6, 2026, the Dirndl & Lederhosensunnta Open Air will take place at Zin Fux Restaurant. The event starts at 10:00 am with a traditional Frühschoppen, Weißwurst and pretzels. From 1:00 pm, Die Söhne Tirols will provide live music. There will also be Tyrolean burgers and homemade specialties. Admission is free, and parking is available.

On Saturday, 5 September and Sunday, 6 September, the traditional village festival returns to Mitterolang. Two days filled with music, local traditions, community spirit and authentic customs, accompanied of course by plenty of food and drinks. The festivities begin on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. with the raising of the traditional “Kirschtamichlbam” festival tree. From 6:00 p.m., the Stegen Music Band will provide musical entertainment, followed by the group “Rifflblech” from 8:30 p.m. Sunday begins at 8:30 a.m. with the festive church service and the traditional procession. From 11:00 a.m., the Trachtenkapelle Schäffern from Styria, Austria, will perform. One of the highlights of the festival is the grand parade at 2:00 p.m., bringing local traditions and customs vividly to life. Afterwards, the Feldthurns Music Band will entertain visitors from 3:00 p.m. From 5:00 p.m., the group “Oberwind” will take over and provide a lively festival atmosphere. At 7:00 p.m., the lottery draw will take place. Afterwards, “Oberwind” will continue playing until the festival comes to an end. A traditional celebration for locals and visitors of all ages – the perfect opportunity to come together, enjoy the music and experience authentic South Tyrolean festival culture.

Traditional music with delicious specialties and a fantastic panorama. The festivity at the alpine huts at Plätzwiese high plateau, Rossalm, Stollaalm, Kaseralm e Grünwaldalm combines typical Tyrolean sounds with delicious food. In the huts, various music groups sing and play many well-known ways, which additionally accentuate the magical panorama. In addition, traditional delicacies will be served.

On a total of 12 dates, the summit of Kronplatz will be the setting for a special cultural experience that brings South Tyrolean tradition to life. Experience the impressive performances of music bands, the powerful sounds of "Alphornbläsre" and the rousing dances of "Schuhplattler" up close. Each event offers the unique opportunity to combine the impressive mountain scenery with the sounds and performances of South Tyrolean culture. An experience for young and old!

On September 06, 2026, the Sexten Band warmly invites you to a concert at the Sexten pavilion. Look forward to a delightful summer evening with a varied program of traditional and modern brass music.

Guided easy beginner’s hike This easy, guided hike is ideal for anyone who wants to get to know the mountains at a leisurely pace. Particularly during your first few days in the mountains, it offers the perfect opportunity to acclimatise to the altitude gradually, explore the surroundings and gain your first hiking experiences. The exact route and destination of the hike can be found in the Alpine School’s current weekly programme. Together with Lanz Active, we discover the impressive mountain landscape around Kreuzbergpass, right on the border between South Tyrol and Belluno. From here, our hike leads up to the wide Rotwandwiesen, where we enjoy our lunch break surrounded by a stunning alpine panorama. Along the way and at the destination, we are rewarded with magnificent views of the Carnic Ridge and the Sexten Dolomites – a landscape that impresses with its vastness and variety. The herbs and Kneipp hike is an easy excursion that takes you through the surroundings of Gais, Riscone, and Stefansdorf. The walk leads along the forest path at the Haunold/Baranci valley station in direction of Toblach/Dobbiaco to the source of the Drau/Drava river. Paternkofel Via Ferrata – Innerkoflersteig The via ferrata up the Paternkofel (2,745 m) is one of the most impressive routes in the Sesto Dolomites. The route follows the former front line of the First World War and combines spectacular views with fascinating history. Highlights of the tour include the impressive war tunnels, the summit with its panoramic views, and the famous Paternsattel, which offers one of the most beautiful panoramic views in the Dolomites. From here, a unique view opens up onto the mighty north faces of the Three Peaks – an unforgettable photo opportunity. Accompanied by an experienced mountain guide, the tour leads from the Auronzo Hut over the Paternsattel to the Paternkofel. The subsequent descent follows the historic Innerkoflersteig trail and through the former war tunnels towards the Dreizinnen Hut. Approx. 50-minute hike from the Auronzo Hut (2.330 m) to the Paternsattel. The blue hour is a time of calm and transition, announcing the upcoming sunrise with a picturesque play of colors. In the light of the rising sun, the Three Peaks reveal their full brilliance – a natural spectacle among the most beautiful in the Dolomites. The subsequent walk to the Langalm (breakfast option) and back to the starting point completes this unique nature experience. Round trip with the hiking bus. Drive with the mountain guide to the Auronzo hut (2,330 m). A 50-minute hike leads to the start of the via ferrata, during which you can already enjoy the stunning UNESCO Dolomite landscape. On the via ferrata, the mountain guide is happy to provide tips and tricks – the route is also perfect for beginners. Once you reach the summit (2,745 m), you are rewarded with a fantastic panorama and a unique view of the north faces of the Drei Zinnen. After a break at the top, the descent takes you through long tunnels from World War I, when part of the front ran right through the Dolomites. The via ferrata adventure ends at the Drei Zinnen hut, from where you hike back to the starting point. At the top, enjoy a 360° panoramic view before descending the Furcia Trail (S2, moderately difficult) – a flowing but partially technical trail with roots, tight corners and rocky sections – leading to the Furkel Pass (1,758 m). From the pass, a pleasant forest road winds down through woods and meadows into the Gadertal Valley to reach St. Vigil in Enneberg. After a short break, the tour continues steadily uphill to Pederü, first on asphalt, then on gravel roads.The alpine climb begins at Pederü, heading up to the Fanes Hut (2,060 m) on a well-maintained former military road. Every Tuesday and Friday, children have the opportunity to ride a pony. Each ride lasts about 10 minutes and costs €15. No registration is required. The meeting point and starting location are at the Rotwandwiesenhütte hut. The pony rides are organized by the Unterlanerhof riding stable. The activity is cancelled in case of bad weather.

Knödel are not just dumplings, they are the ultimate South Tyrolean dish and no one knows this better than Franzi. Toblinger Knoten via ferrata – Leiternsteig The Toblinger Knoten (2,617 m) is one of the most scenic via ferrata destinations in the area around the Three Peaks. The striking rock tower rises directly opposite the famous peaks and offers an impressive panoramic view of the Sesto Dolomites. The ascent follows the historic Kaiserjägersteig via ferrata, which was built during the First World War and today delights visitors with exciting climbing sections and an alpine atmosphere. After a well-deserved rest at the summit with its unique panorama, the descent follows the easier via ferrata along the north-east ridge. Accompanied by an experienced mountain guide, this varied tour is a special experience for anyone wishing to discover the Dolomites from an extraordinary perspective. With Giulietta, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00 a.m. at Prenninger Park. The activity takes place outdoors. Camminata Metabolica is a simple and special training programme designed to activate the metabolism, improve posture, reduce the waistline and specifically tone the abdominal and gluteal muscles.

Short circular walk (slightly uphill-150 meters difference in altitude) of approx. 50 min. on asphalt or gravel road to the Kleinmarer farm. We visit the farm with stable, animals and garden. The experience for the whole family is rounded off with a tasting of typical farm products. The way back to the starting point takes approx. 40 min. Together with Lanz Active, we follow in the footsteps of mountaineering pioneer Paul Grohmann, who in 1869, accompanied by his guides Peter Salcher and Franz Innerkofler, made the first ascent of the Great Peak (Große Zinne). The starting point is Landro, from where we begin our hike with views of the impressive north faces of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, following the Rienztal valley on a wide and initially gentle trail. The route then climbs more steeply through the Rimbianco valley to the alpine pasture of the same name and continues to Lake Antorno, where we can also admire the southern side of the Tre Cime for the first time. Alpinisteig The Alpinisteig is one of the most impressive historic via ferratas in the Sesto Dolomites. It was built during the First World War by Italian Alpine troops and leads through a stunning high-mountain landscape with spectacular views of the surrounding peaks. Although the via ferrata is technically fairly straightforward, it should not be underestimated due to its length and the possibility of snowfields – particularly at the start of the season. Accompanied by an experienced mountain guide, you’ll enjoy a varied tour that combines history, nature and alpine adventure. Together with our mountain guide Manuel we will start our crossing of the Prags Dolomites from the Brunst Alp. After two hours of hiking we will reach the start of the fixed rope route, where Manuel will give us a short introduction to the equipment. As soon as the climbing harness is properly fastened and the helmet is on, we will start our adventure. After a breathtaking, beautiful climb of difficulty level A (easy) we will reach the exit. If time permits, we will climb up to the summit cross at the Hochalpenkopf and enjoy the spectacular panorama in the middle of the Dolomites, with views of the Prags Dolomites, the Rieserferner and the Zillertal Alps. After a short rest we will descend step by step to the Pragser Wildsee Lake and let the day end comfortably.We will return to Olang by bus and by train and we will look up to the mastered summit with amazement. We start with the public bus to Sexten/Sesto and go with the cable car to the Helm/Monte Elmo (2.050 m). Here the hike begins via the Hüttensteig path nr. 20 to the Helmhaus and to the Rif. Sillianer Hütte hut. Since we will spend most of our time up on the beautiful border ridge and want to enjoy the mountain panorama flexibly, we recommend that all participants bring enough provisions, such as their own packed lunch. This way, we are independent of time and can take our breaks at the most beautiful viewpoints. We will make a short stop at the Sillianer Hütte for a cozy drink break. Ride the chairlift up to the Haunold/Baranci. From there we go in search of the giant Haunold and can explore his kingdom at various stations. Every Friday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, the farm oven at Stacherhof is fired up, offering an authentic experience of traditional bread baking. In the traditional wood-fired oven, real farmhouse bread is made, while the entire process from grain to flour and from flour to the finished loaf is demonstrated. Step by step, traditional recipes, milling, dough preparation and baking are explained – all carried out with great care and passion. After baking, the experience continues with a short farm tour, where the animals are introduced and insights into everyday farm life are provided. Afterwards, participants are invited to enjoy a tasting of freshly baked bread along with selected specialties from the farm shop. The course takes place with a minimum of 5 participants. Every Tuesday and Friday, children have the opportunity to ride a pony. Each ride lasts about 10 minutes and costs €15. No registration is required. The meeting point and starting location are at the Rotwandwiesenhütte hut. The pony rides are organized by the Unterlanerhof riding stable. The activity is cancelled in case of bad weather.

Today you will have the opportunity to get to know and taste the various specialties of the food producer "Horvat": jams, marmalades, syrups, dried fruits, candies and much more.

Every Friday, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Bistro Biwak 12 hosts the “Aperitivo Lungo” on its rooftop terrace.

Arzalpenturm Via Ferrata The Arzalpenturm Via Ferrata, dedicated to Bepi Martini & Much Happacher and to friendship, is a spectacular new via ferrata offering wonderful views of the eastern Dolomites. The route crosses the narrow summit of the Arzalpenturm and leads up to the panoramic summit of the Arzalpenkopf. The descent via the secured Salasteig route or via the Arzalpenscharte round off this eventful day in the mountains. The original route takes the maximum of 1000 participants over 17 kilometres with an elevation profile of 1333 metres on perfectly signed paths from Sesto through the stunning mountains of the Sesto Dolomites to the finish at the Rifugio Antonio Locatelli, just below the three impressive peaks that are known all over the world.

Saturday: Cortina Via Ferrata An exciting via ferrata adventure above the Olympic town of Cortina d’Ampezzo. The route leads to the historic Monte Castello, first passing through impressive World War I tunnels before continuing on a well-secured via ferrata to the summit. At the top, historic military positions and a breathtaking panoramic view of some of the most famous peaks in the Dolomites await – a unique blend of nature, history, and alpine adventure. The enduro.tirol Tour is an all-mountain experience for all bikers who love mountain biking - since 2022, the enduro.tirol Tour has been held in the best MTB regions of Tyrol and South Tyrol. The enduro races run uphill, downhill, over hill and dale and also cross alpine terrain. From September 12 to 13, 2026, the enduro.tirol race will take place at Kronplatz.

As one of the oldest market villages of South Tyrol, San Candido will follow the tradition of the farmer's market with a demanding and innovative program. The project is called "Heugabel" and describes the farmer market and the farmer life.

Two Pastry Chefs, two different stories, one shared brunch. On Saturday, 12 September, Alessio Billeci, Pastry Chef at Atelier Moessmer Norbert Niederkofler, and Michaël Boivin, Executive Pastry Chef at Castiglion del Bosco, A Rosewood Hotel in Montalcino, come together at Ansitz Heufler. Both were awarded “Pastry Chef of the Year 2026” by Gambero Rosso in November 2025. Their meeting inspired the idea of creating something special together: an informal and convivial experience built around sharing and creativity. Four acts. One shared brunch. For this 4-Hands Brunch, Alessio and Michaël will create a menu together, presented in four acts: Risveglio | The beginning. La Tavola | The shared table and the heart of the brunch Il Dessert | The sweet signature of the two Pastry Chefs. Coccola Finale | One final indulgence to end the experience. At the heart of the event is a dialogue between two personalities, cultures and culinary backgrounds, shaped by influences from France, South Tyrol and Tuscany. On 12 September from 11.00 am, Oberolang celebrates the traditional Brunst Alpine Cattle Drive, marking the return of the cattle from the mountain pastures. The festive procession starts at the football field in Oberolang and continues along Bödenstraße into the village centre before making its way to the final destination at Aparthotel Familiaris. Musical entertainment will be provided by "Die fidelen Pfarrlinga" and the group “Wio und di Oane”, creating a lively and festive atmosphere. Food and drinks will also be available throughout the event. Enjoy a convivial day filled with Alpine tradition, music and South Tyrolean hospitality!

"Almabtrieb" from the Silvesteralm (12.09.26) at the football field of S. Silvestro: at 12.00 clock there will arrive the first animals. Small traditional festival of the volunteer fire department of S. Silvestro in the football field.

With €5,00 one can become a Sponsor of one of the 333 rubber ducks. The sponsorship can be obtained either at the fruit market Niederegger, or at the day of the event itself, from 1 p.m. onwards. The price-giving ceremony will be held after the event. The earnings will all be given to charity.
