A day full of flavour, music and mountain charm! On 12 July 2026, the idyllic Lanzwiesenalm warmly invites you to its traditional Alpine Festival. Starting at 11.00 a.m., visitors can look forward to a festive day in the heart of the Dolomites with a barbecue and Tyrolean specialities – surrounded by lush alpine meadows, fresh mountain air, and genuine Tyrolean spirit.

On a total of 12 dates, the summit of Kronplatz will be the setting for a special cultural experience that brings South Tyrolean tradition to life. Experience the impressive performances of music bands, the powerful sounds of "Alphornbläsre" and the rousing dances of "Schuhplattler" up close. Each event offers the unique opportunity to combine the impressive mountain scenery with the sounds and performances of South Tyrolean culture. An experience for young and old!

After the Holy Mass and the subsequent St. Margaret procession in the parish church of St. Margaret, the ceremonial parade of the music village band of Welsberg and TMK Strasswalchen starts at around 11:15 am, proceeding through the village centre to the bandstand on the main square. There, at 11:30 a.m., TMK Strasswalchen will entertain guests with a concert, followed by a performance by the music village band of Welsberg at around 1:30 pm. Food and refreshments will be available.

On July 12, 2026, the Sexten Band warmly invites you to a concert at the Sexten pavilion. Look forward to a delightful summer evening with a varied program of traditional and modern brass music.

Together with Lanz Active, we discover the impressive mountain landscape around Kreuzbergpass, right on the border between South Tyrol and Belluno. From here, our hike leads up to the wide Rotwandwiesen, where we enjoy our lunch break surrounded by a stunning alpine panorama. Alma Mahler welcomes you The composition house in Carbonin Vecchia reopens its doors in the summer months....with a very special hostess Anyone who cultivates a passion for culture and music knows that Dobbiaco holds a treasure trove. Lying on a meadow overlooking the village and the entire valley, close to the forest towards Pian di Maia, is a small, simple wooden building. The building at first glance appears very modest, but stands proud and aware of its incredible significance and history. Between those planks, in fact, the famous Bohemian composer Gustav Mahler, accompanied by his beloved Alma, between the summers of 1908 and 1910, found peace and inspiration to compose some of his most beautiful and important symphonies, among them 'Das Lied von der Erde' (The Song of the Earth). After careful restoration, the composition house at the Trenkerhof finally reopens its doors to all those who want to breathe in the history and atmosphere of the Belle Epoque. During the summer months of July and August, every Wednesday and every Friday from 3 to 5 p.m., in collaboration with the Santer Family, owner of the cultural asset, every visitor will have the chance to step back in time and breathe in the magic of those places and the surrounding nature. They will be welcomed by a very special hostess... Alma, the composer's beloved companion until her death in 1911, herself an eclectic and important figure in the history of world culture, who will make the visit even more special with stories and anecdotes. Gustav Mahler Music Weeks Toblach 2026 The 45th Gustav Mahler Music Weeks will take place in Toblach from 11 July to 5 September 2026 under the theme “The Beginning.” Alongside long-standing Artistic Director Josef Lanz, Dirk Kaftan will shape the festival programme for the first time. Highlights include concerts by the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn, and the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento, as well as performances by promising young international artists. This programme is built around the Swedish violinist and composer Amanda Röntgen-Maier, a close friend of Johannes Brahms and Edvard Grieg. Brahms admired her greatly, and the rarely played 'Andante con moto' by Grieg – rediscovered by her husband Julius Röntgen – creates a personal connection. Trio Orelon was founded in Cologne in 2019 and is one of the most renowned trios of the younger generation. It has won first prizes at the ARD Competition in Munich, in Melbourne, and at the Schubert Competition in Graz, and has performed at major venues including the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Musikverein in Vienna, and the Pierre Boulez Saal in Berlin. Their discography includes three albums with works by Amy Beach, Dora Pejačević, Amanda Röntgen-Maier, and Antonín Dvořák. In the light of the rising sun, the Three Peaks reveal their full brilliance – a natural spectacle among the most beautiful in the Dolomites. The subsequent walk to the Langalm (breakfast option) and back to the starting point completes this unique nature experience. Round trip with the hiking bus. Drive with the mountain guide to the Auronzo hut (2,330 m). A 50-minute hike leads to the start of the via ferrata, during which you can already enjoy the stunning UNESCO Dolomite landscape. On the via ferrata, the mountain guide is happy to provide tips and tricks – the route is also perfect for beginners. Once you reach the summit (2,745 m), you are rewarded with a fantastic panorama and a unique view of the north faces of the Drei Zinnen. After a break at the top, the descent takes you through long tunnels from World War I, when part of the front ran right through the Dolomites. The via ferrata adventure ends at the Drei Zinnen hut, from where you hike back to the starting point. For the descent, the following options are available: - hike back to the Auronzo hut and return with the mountain guide - independent descent via Fischlein- or Innerfeldtal (approx. 3.5 hours) - independent continuation to the Büllelejochhütte and descent into the Fischleintal (approx. 4.5 hours) In the case of the independent continuation, the return journey is made using public buses. The via ferrata leading to the summit of Gran Cir offers spectacular views of the northern faces of the Sella massif, the Sassolungo, and the high plateau of the Puez Group. This route is perfect for those wanting to take their first steps into the world of via ferrata: it’s ideal for beginners to try out easy climbing in a safe environment, enjoy stunning panoramas, and improve movement and sure-footedness – all while surrounded by the majestic beauty of the Dolomites. The tour begins on a gravel road that leads to the upper station of the Dantercepies cable car. From there, a narrower trail takes you to the rock formations where the via ferrata begins. A secured and partially covered ramp leads across to its end. From there, the path continues uphill in zigzag fashion over easy hiking terrain until reaching a gully at the base of a smooth rock wall. This is where the most challenging section of the route is located (difficulty A/B). After mastering this passage, the route follows the western ridge with light climbing sections along the via ferrata to the summit of Gran Cir – where a breathtaking 360-degree panorama over the Dolomites awaits. Hike along the tracks of old smugglers' trails via the Klammbach hut and Nemesalm hut towards the Kreuzberg Pass/Passo Monte Croce Comelico. The guided hike to Putzalm is a special nature experience for everyone who would like to explore the mountain world in pleasant company. Along the way, you will gain interesting insights into the region’s flora, fauna and local history. Together with the hiking guide, you will hike from Altprags/Braies Vecchia up to the rustic Putzalm hut, where a tasting of traditional alpine snacks awaits you. The hut host Seppl is well known for his delicious local dishes! Before or after the stop at the hut, you will continue to the panoramic summit of Allwartstein (1,954 m), where you can enjoy breathtaking views. The descent then leads you back to the starting point in Altprags. The pure walking time of the circular hike is 4 hours with 600 metres of ascent.

The yoga experience at the fish pond in Antholz Niedertal is an oasis of calm that allows you to find your balance and peace in the breathtaking mountain scenery. This special yoga session at the lake, surrounded by natural beauty and tranquillity, promotes harmony of body and mind and offers a break from everyday life.

Start in Reischach where you take the cable car up to Kronplatz. At the top, enjoy a 360° panoramic view before descending the Furcia Trail (S2, moderately difficult) – a flowing but partially technical trail with roots, tight corners and rocky sections – leading to the Furkel Pass (1,758 m). From the pass, a pleasant forest road winds down through woods and meadows into the Gadertal Valley to reach St. Vigil in Enneberg. After a short break, the tour continues steadily uphill to Pederü, first on asphalt, then on gravel roads.The alpine climb begins at Pederü, heading up to the Fanes Hut (2,060 m) on a well-maintained former military road. Though demanding, the climb is scenic and rewarding. Every Tuesday and Friday, children have the opportunity to ride a pony. Each ride lasts about 10 minutes and costs €15. No registration is required. The meeting point and starting location are at the Rotwandwiesenhütte hut. The pony rides are organized by the Unterlanerhof riding stable. The activity is cancelled in case of bad weather.

The tour starts in Reischach, from where we head straight out to explore the hidden trails of the area. Away from the well-known routes, we discover flowy forest paths, narrow singletracks, and little insider spots around Kronplatz. With e-bike support, we handle the climbs with ease and enjoy varied descents on easy to moderately difficult trails with short technical sections. In about 3 hours, we experience the area from a different perspective – perfect for anyone who wants to discover new trails and enjoy pure riding fun. Together with Lanz Active, we follow in the footsteps of mountaineering pioneer Paul Grohmann, who in 1869, accompanied by his guides Peter Salcher and Franz Innerkofler, made the first ascent of the Great Peak (Große Zinne). The starting point is Landro, from where we begin our hike with views of the impressive north faces of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, following the Rienztal valley on a wide and initially gentle trail. The route then climbs more steeply through the Rimbianco valley to the alpine pasture of the same name and continues to Lake Antorno, where we can also admire the southern side of the Tre Cime for the first time. After a short descent, we reach Misurina, from where we return comfortably to Toblach by public bus. A hike that combines mountaineering history, spectacular landscapes, and alpine nature in the heart of the Dolomites. Alma Mahler welcomes you The composition house in Carbonin Vecchia reopens its doors in the summer months....with a very special hostess Anyone who cultivates a passion for culture and music knows that Dobbiaco holds a treasure trove. Lying on a meadow overlooking the village and the entire valley, close to the forest towards Pian di Maia, is a small, simple wooden building. The building at first glance appears very modest, but stands proud and aware of its incredible significance and history. Between those planks, in fact, the famous Bohemian composer Gustav Mahler, accompanied by his beloved Alma, between the summers of 1908 and 1910, found peace and inspiration to compose some of his most beautiful and important symphonies, among them 'Das Lied von der Erde' (The Song of the Earth). After careful restoration, the composition house at the Trenkerhof finally reopens its doors to all those who want to breathe in the history and atmosphere of the Belle Epoque. During the summer months of July and August, every Wednesday and every Friday from 3 to 5 p.m., in collaboration with the Santer Family, owner of the cultural asset, every visitor will have the chance to step back in time and breathe in the magic of those places and the surrounding nature. They will be welcomed by a very special hostess... Alma, the composer's beloved companion until her death in 1911, herself an eclectic and important figure in the history of world culture, who will make the visit even more special with stories and anecdotes. Béla Bartók's String Quartet No. 5 fascinates with its striking rhythms, rich colours and bold ideas featuring folk music echoes. In contrast stands César Franck's Piano Quintet in F minor – a work of passionate expression with lush harmonies, dramatic crescendos and sweeping melodies. The Korossy Quartet was formed in 2018 and won the Leó Weiner Chamber Music Competition at the Liszt Academy in 2019. At the Bartók World Competition in 2021, the ensemble received five special prizes. Concert performances have taken them to the Heidelberger Frühling and the Lockenhaus Chamber Music Festival, among others. Together with our mountain guide Manuel we will start our crossing of the Prags Dolomites from the Brunst Alp. After two hours of hiking we will reach the start of the fixed rope route, where Manuel will give us a short introduction to the equipment. As soon as the climbing harness is properly fastened and the helmet is on, we will start our adventure. After a breathtaking, beautiful climb of difficulty level A (easy) we will reach the exit. If time permits, we will climb up to the summit cross at the Hochalpenkopf and enjoy the spectacular panorama in the middle of the Dolomites, with views of the Prags Dolomites, the Rieserferner and the Zillertal Alps. After a short rest we will descend step by step to the Pragser Wildsee Lake and let the day end comfortably.We will return to Olang by bus and by train and we will look up to the mastered summit with amazement. From Old Toblach, the hike leads past the parish church to the scenic ZweiWasserBrunnen, a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the village and surrounding mountains. Following a quiet, little-used hiking trail, we continue through larch and spruce forests up to the Lachwiesenhütte, where a relaxing break offers stunning views of the Sexten and Prags Dolomites. A hike that combines mountaineering history, spectacular landscapes, and alpine nature in the heart of the Dolomites. The rangers will take a spotting scope with you: a look at the natural features of our nature park and perhaps even spot some animals! With them, you can explore various aspects of nature. They can be found at the entrances to the nature park every Thursday in July and August.

Every Friday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, the farm oven at Stacherhof is fired up, offering an authentic experience of traditional bread baking. In the traditional wood-fired oven, real farmhouse bread is made, while the entire process from grain to flour and from flour to the finished loaf is demonstrated. Step by step, traditional recipes, milling, dough preparation and baking are explained – all carried out with great care and passion. After baking, the experience continues with a short farm tour, where the animals are introduced and insights into everyday farm life are provided. Afterwards, participants are invited to enjoy a tasting of freshly baked bread along with selected specialties from the farm shop. The course takes place with a minimum of 5 participants. Lying on a meadow overlooking the village and the entire valley, close to the forest towards Pian di Maia, is a small, simple wooden building. The building at first glance appears very modest, but stands proud and aware of its incredible significance and history. Between those planks, in fact, the famous Bohemian composer Gustav Mahler, accompanied by his beloved Alma, between the summers of 1908 and 1910, found peace and inspiration to compose some of his most beautiful and important symphonies, among them 'Das Lied von der Erde' (The Song of the Earth). After careful restoration, the composition house at the Trenkerhof finally reopens its doors to all those who want to breathe in the history and atmosphere of the Belle Epoque. During the summer months of July and August, every Wednesday and every Friday from 3 to 5 p.m., in collaboration with the Santer Family, owner of the cultural asset, every visitor will have the chance to step back in time and breathe in the magic of those places and the surrounding nature. They will be welcomed by a very special hostess... Alma, the composer's beloved companion until her death in 1911, herself an eclectic and important figure in the history of world culture, who will make the visit even more special with stories and anecdotes. Gustav Mahler Music Weeks Toblach 2026 The 45th Gustav Mahler Music Weeks will take place in Toblach from 11 July to 5 September 2026 under the theme “The Beginning.” Alongside long-standing Artistic Director Josef Lanz, Dirk Kaftan will shape the festival programme for the first time. Highlights include concerts by the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn, and the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento, as well as performances by promising young international artists. The programme is complemented by lectures, a symposium, the traditional hike to Gustav Mahler’s composing hut, and special encounters with guests such as Massimo Cacciari and Reinhold Messner. The concerts take place in the Gustav Mahler Hall of the Grand Hotel Cultural Centre Toblach, surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of the Dolomites. Gustav Mahler's First Symphony was composed in Leipzig in 1888 and underwent several revisions following its 1889 premiere in Budapest, before being performed in its current version in Berlin in 1896. This multimedia lecture traces its journey from its controversial beginnings to its recognition as a masterpiece. Sybille Werner is a conductor and Mahler expert. She has conducted internationally, including in New York, London, and Tokyo, and has produced archival recordings with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra. As a musicologist, she collaborated with Henry-Louis de La Grange, has published research on Mahler, and gives regular lectures. Multimedia lecture in German with projected Italian translation. Three days of festival entertainment at the village festival in Taisten: from Friday to Sunday, visitors can look forward to a varied programme with musical performances – from traditional folk music to modern DJ beats – as well as delicious regional specialities. The local associations provide entertainment, attractions, a children’s programme and a welcoming atmosphere. A special highlight is the grand parade on Sunday at 11:00 am. under the motto “Traditional, musical, original and authentic”, where the village presents itself in all its diversity. A special highlight of this year’s village festival in Taisten is the farmers’ and crafts market, offered on Saturday as part of the supporting programme. From 05:00 to 09:00 pm., regional producers, craftspeople and exhibitors will present their products and creations. Visitors can stroll through the market, discover local products, get to know traditional crafts and taste regional specialities. The market enriches the festival with variety, tradition and regional character, offering an interesting insight into rural life, craftsmanship and local creativity.

On July 18, 2026, Marc & Damian will perform as part of Sexten Mountain & Music at the Weinstube Mühle. With their lively sound and a varied selection of songs, they will create an engaging and enjoyable musical evening.

The overture to 'The Sea Hawk' and the Violin Concerto showcase the colourful style of Erich Wolfgang Korngold, one of Hollywood's most influential film composers. In Gustav Mahler's popular Symphony No. 1, sounds of nature, folk-like melodies, and powerful crescendos form a multi-layered soundscape ranging from poetic idyll and subtle irony to a dramatic finale. Dirk Kaftan has been General Music Director of the Beethoven Orchester Bonn and Bonn Opera since 2017. As a sought-after guest conductor, he works with renowned orchestras and opera houses, including the Vienna Symphony, the KBS Symphony Orchestra Seoul, the Bamberg Symphony, and the NDR Radiophilharmonie.
