This relaxed half-day hike is perfect for beginners and anyone wanting to try snow shoeing for the first time. Tour: Camping Antholz (1,250 m) > trail no. 1 > Waldhäusl (1,520 m) > on the other side of the valley -> trail no. 11 -> back to the starting point Walking time: approx. 3 hours round trip Difficulty: easy/medium Bring drinks and possibly a packed lunch! There will be no opportunity to stop for refreshments until the end of the tour!

Attention: In case of insufficient snow, a winter hike will be carried out. Into the silence - a silent snowshoe hike From San Candido we take the minibus or private cars via Santa Maria to Monte Rota. Here, we start our circular hike through snowy forest clearings with breath-taking views of the Dolomites. We learn to recognise animal tracks in the snow, to read scats and to assign vomit to specific animals. Starting point: 01:00 pm Tourist Information San Candido Return: approx. 4:30 pm: Walking time: approx. 2 hrs Difficulty: easy Altitude differential: approx. 100 m Kit: technical, ankle-covering mountain boots with profiled soles (winter boots or low shoes are not suitable for deep snow), hot drink (thermos flask), thermal protection, gloves and spare hat, sun protection Fee: 23 € per person, 5 € snow shoe rental. IMPORTANT: The hikes will take place in all events, even where there is a lack of snow. In the event of a grave risk of avalanche or other adverse conditions, programme changes may occur. There is no minimum number of participants. The minimum age for children is 10 years with a shoe size of at least 35 (there are no snowshoes for smaller sizes). Dogs are not permitted at ANY tour. The first 8 registered persons can travel in the minibus of the Alpine School; all other persons follow the minibus in their own cars.
