The Alta Pusteria International Choral Festival is a non-competitive choral event that takes place in one of the most beautiful areas of the entire Alpine range, located at the foot of the Dolomites on the border between Italy and Austria. Born in 1998, in twenty-eight editions the Festival has recorded the presence of over 1,400 choirs from 52 countries. The program includes about sixty performances divided into real concerts, Open Air Reviews and Meeting Days, in which each participating choir can freely perform its repertoire. The variety of the locations together with the extremely rich repertoire presented by the participating choirs make this event not only one of the most spectacular international choral festivals but also a unique opportunity of mutual and fruitful exchange between different musical cultures. Concerts in the holiday region Gsiesertal Valley-Welsberg-Taisten: Thursday, 11 June, Friday, 12 June, Saturday, 13 June at 9.00 pm at the Paul Troger House. Saturday, 13 June at 11.00 am at Welsperg Castle. Saturday, 13 June at 10.00 am in the parish church of St. Martin. Together with our mountain guide Manuel we will start our crossing of the Prags Dolomites from the Brunst Alp. After two hours of hiking we will reach the start of the fixed rope route, where Manuel will give us a short introduction to the equipment. As soon as the climbing harness is properly fastened and the helmet is on, we will start our adventure. After a breathtaking, beautiful climb of difficulty level A (easy) we will reach the exit. If time permits, we will climb up to the summit cross at the Hochalpenkopf and enjoy the spectacular panorama in the middle of the Dolomites, with views of the Prags Dolomites, the Rieserferner and the Zillertal Alps. After a short rest we will descend step by step to the Pragser Wildsee Lake and let the day end comfortably.We will return to Olang by bus and by train and we will look up to the mastered summit with amazement. From the hiking car park above Mudler, the trail leads up to the Lutterkopf, which rises just above the tree line. Despite its modest elevation, the summit offers a magnificent panoramic view. To the south, the rugged peaks of the Sexten Dolomites dominate the skyline; to the north, the imposing summits of the Rieserferner Group come into view. Looking southwest, the panorama stretches across the Pustertal Valley to the Ötztal Alps and the Ortler Group. Refreshments possibility in a mountain hut. Difficulty: medium. Length: 10 km. Bergila Relax Tour Our tour starts in the picturesque village of Reischach and first leads us towards St. Georgen and through the gentle landscapes of the Puster Valley. We ride along quiet paths through meadows and small villages before reaching Pfalzen, where we enjoy the sunny plateau scenery. A special highlight of the tour is a visit to the Bergila Gardens in Issing. Here we dive into the world of medicinal plants and alpine natural products. At the traditional pine oil distillery, we learn about the production of essential oils from local plants. We take the bus to Sexten/Sesto and from there the cable car up to the Helm (2.050 m). The Olperl’s Nature Park starts directly at the mountain station of the Helm cable car and leads to Olperl's best friends - into the realm of the alpine animal world. On the 1,5 km long circular trail you can discover 10 exciting adventure points - with great views of the summit world of the Sesto Dolomites. Exploring Olperl's Natur Park on the highest barefoot trail in the Dolomites (2.150 m) is soothing and healthy. Soft moss, fragrant larch wood, stone slabs or pebbles revitalise the foot reflex zones before the feet are bathed in cooling spring water. Together with Lanz Active, we discover the impressive mountain landscape around Toblach. The starting point is Kandellen, from where we hike via the Wildbachhütte up to the Bonnerhütte at 2,340 m. The trail leads through striking natural and cultural landscapes at the foot of Mount Pfannhorn, passing former torrent gullies that are now secured by protective structures. At the top, a well-deserved lunch break awaits us with a magnificent view over the Puster Valley and the Dolomites. A varied tour combining nature, movement, and fascinating insights into the Alpine world. Depending on the tour, the hikes are suitable both for experienced hikers and for families and beginners. We experience a varied and scenic hike through the Antholz valley. We take the bus to Lake Antholz and start our hike there. On hiking trail no. 1 we reach Wöhrer cabin (not managed) and from there continue on to Teufelsplatz. Along the left valley side we hike leisurely, gradually descending until we reach Antholz Mittertal. Afterwards we follow the Müllerkoflweg (no. 1) to Burgegger Mill and continue downstream to Antholz Niedertal. From there we return by bus to our starting point. Every Friday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, the farm oven at Stacherhof is fired up, offering an authentic experience of traditional bread baking. In the traditional wood-fired oven, real farmhouse bread is made, while the entire process from grain to flour and from flour to the finished loaf is demonstrated. Step by step, traditional recipes, milling, dough preparation and baking are explained – all carried out with great care and passion. After baking, the experience continues with a short farm tour, where the animals are introduced and insights into everyday farm life are provided. Afterwards, participants are invited to enjoy a tasting of freshly baked bread along with selected specialties from the farm shop. The course takes place with a minimum of 5 participants. Choir Festival in the Heart of the Dolomites From 10 to 14 June 2026, the Val Pusteria/Pustertal valley will turn into a grand stage for choral music: during the Alta Pusteria International Choir Festival, around 2,800 singers from all over the world will come together to perform in the breathtaking setting of the Dolomites – from East Tyrol to Brunico/Bruneck, from the Ahrntal Valley to Val Comelico and the 3 Peaks Dolomites region. The festival will feature 25 Italian and 34 international choirs, filling the valley with music and voices from around the world. In addition to concerts at the music pavilion in the centre of Dobbiaco/Toblach, in the parish church, and outdoors at the Three Peaks Viewpoint in Landro, visitors can also enjoy a varied musical programme at the Euregio Cultural Centre, including seven concerts in the Gustav Mahler Hall. The festival offers a truly special choral experience, set against the unique mountain scenery of the Dolomites.

The Alta Pusteria International Choral Festival is a non-competitive choral event that takes place in one of the most beautiful areas of the entire Alpine range, located at the foot of the Dolomites on the border between Italy and Austria. Born in 1998, in twenty-eight editions the Festival has recorded the presence of over 1,400 choirs from 52 countries. The program includes about sixty performances divided into real concerts, Open Air Reviews and Meeting Days, in which each participating choir can freely perform its repertoire. The variety of the locations together with the extremely rich repertoire presented by the participating choirs make this event not only one of the most spectacular international choral festivals but also a unique opportunity of mutual and fruitful exchange between different musical cultures. Concerts in the holiday region Gsiesertal Valley-Welsberg-Taisten: Thursday, 11 June, Friday, 12 June, Saturday, 13 June at 9.00 pm at the Paul Troger House. Saturday, 13 June at 11.00 am at Welsperg Castle. Saturday, 13 June at 10.00 am in the parish church of St. Martin.
