Together with Lanz Active, we explore the Dolomiti d’Ampezzo Natural Park, one of the most impressive landscapes in the Dolomites, home to the Tofane peaks as well as the mountain groups of Fanes, Col Becchei, Croda Rossa and Cristallo. Our hike begins at Passo Cimabanche and leads through the beautiful Gotres Valley up to Forcella Lerosa, where we are rewarded with stunning views of the southern side of Croda Rossa. On the picturesque alpine meadows around the Lerosa saddle, marmots can often be seen or heard, and with a bit of luck we may even spot traces of chamois or deer. These animals are very shy and therefore rarely seen during the daytime – but you never know, maybe luck will be on our side! From the saddle, we continue downhill to Ra Stua mountain hut, where we can stop for lunch. Afterwards, we follow the beautiful Boite waterfall trail down to the bus stop at Sant’Hubertus, from where we return to Dobbiaco by public bus. With the right know-how and the right equipment, the risk of an accident can be reduced or avoided - the certified guides from SAAC show you on the bike what is important in terms of accident prevention. Both theoretically and practically, the participants are taught the most important safety aspects, a correct riding technique and the right choice of material and equipment. Therefore, on 27/06 and 28/06/2026, and on 03/10 and 04/10/2026, every bike-interested person has the opportunity to deepen his knowledge and to refine his technique.  A "special edition" of the SAAC Bike Camp will take place too on Kronplatz/Plan de Corones, namely the "Girlpower Bike Camp", especially for women. Anyone who is at least 14 years old and wants to expand and force his bike awareness can participate!

Everything tastes better on the mountain, including breakfast! This is probably thanks to the fresh air and the great panoramic view. For brunch at the Ristorante Monte Elmo, it's definitely worth jumping out of bed early, even on weekends.

Along the way, we encounter impressive traces of the First World War, including remains of an Austrian base camp, old trenches, and remnants of a material cableway. A hike that is more than nature – it is a journey through centuries of history and art. The route starts in Welsberg and leads past Welsperg Castle, the ruins of Thurn, and the lost castle of Meisenreut. In Taisten, the cultural highlight is a guided visit to St. George’s Church, built around 800 as a fortified sanctuary and first mentioned in 861. Inside, late Gothic frescoes depicting scenes from the life of Christ and the famous St. Christopher fresco. The route continues to the Erasmus Chapel, burial place of the Counts of Welsperg, featuring tombstones and memorial shields. The lovingly designed cemetery in Taisten invites a moment of reflection. The hike concludes in Welsberg, the village of 20 fountains and home of the Baroque artist Paul Troger. Backpack provisions. The guided tour in Taisten can also be booked without the hike. Interested in visiting one of our characteristic farmsteads? The Moarhof farm in the hamlet of Obergoste invites you to take a tour of its barn, stables, petting zoo and dairy farm. Drive with the mountain guide to the Auronzo hut (2,330 m). A 50-minute hike leads to the start of the via ferrata, during which you can already enjoy the stunning UNESCO Dolomite landscape. On the via ferrata, the mountain guide is happy to provide tips and tricks – the route is also perfect for beginners. Once you reach the summit (2,745 m), you are rewarded with a fantastic panorama and a unique view of the north faces of the Drei Zinnen. After a break at the top, the descent takes you through long tunnels from World War I, when part of the front ran right through the Dolomites. The via ferrata adventure ends at the Drei Zinnen hut, from where you hike back to the starting point. For the descent, the following options are available: - hike back to the Auronzo hut and return with the mountain guide - independent descent via Fischlein- or Innerfeldtal (approx. 3.5 hours) - independent continuation to the Büllelejochhütte and descent into the Fischleintal (approx. 4.5 hours) In the case of the independent continuation, the return journey is made using public buses. From the pass, a pleasant forest road winds down through woods and meadows into the Gadertal Valley to reach St. Vigil in Enneberg. After a short break, the tour continues steadily uphill to Pederü, first on asphalt, then on gravel roads.The alpine climb begins at Pederü, heading up to the Fanes Hut (2,060 m) on a well-maintained former military road. Every Tuesday and Friday, children have the opportunity to ride a pony. Each ride lasts about 10 minutes and costs €15. No registration is required. The meeting point and starting location are at the Rotwandwiesenhütte hut. The pony rides are organized by the Unterlanerhof riding stable. The activity is cancelled in case of bad weather.

First you climb up over rocky terrain with our mountain guide Manuel and then dash down with the zipline in no time at all. There is also a slackline where you can prove your balance. The guided hike to Putzalm is a special nature experience for everyone who would like to explore the mountain world in pleasant company. Along the way, you will gain interesting insights into the region’s flora, fauna and local history. Together with the hiking guide, you will hike from Altprags/Braies Vecchia up to the rustic Putzalm hut, where a tasting of traditional alpine snacks awaits you. The hut host Seppl is well known for his delicious local dishes! Before or after the stop at the hut, you will continue to the panoramic summit of Allwartstein (1,954 m), where you can enjoy breathtaking views. The descent then leads you back to the starting point in Altprags. The pure walking time of the circular hike is 4 hours with 600 metres of ascent.

Together with Lanz Active, we follow in the footsteps of mountaineering pioneer Paul Grohmann, who in 1869, accompanied by his guides Peter Salcher and Franz Innerkofler, made the first ascent of the Great Peak (Große Zinne). The starting point is Landro, from where we begin our hike with views of the impressive north faces of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, following the Rienztal valley on a wide and initially gentle trail. The route then climbs more steeply through the Rimbianco valley to the alpine pasture of the same name and continues to Lake Antorno, where we can also admire the southern side of the Tre Cime for the first time. After a short descent, we reach Misurina, from where we return comfortably to Toblach by public bus. A hike that combines mountaineering history, spectacular landscapes, and alpine nature in the heart of the Dolomites. We start our bike tour in Reischach and roll out comfortably towards Percha. The route combines a mix of asphalt, gravel, and short forest sections, offering a varied and scenic ride between valley floor and hillside terrain. The final section requires a bit more effort but rewards us with beautiful views and a cozy stop at the destination. Discover the Via Artis on Kronplatz together with a hiking guide – the highest open-air art gallery in the world at 2,275 meters above sea level. The 6-kilometer circular trail showcases six artworks by local artists, crafted from damaged wood resulting from storm and snow pressure in 2018 and 2019. We start our hike in the picturesque village of Reischach and set off into the beautiful natural surroundings. The hiking trail leads us through gentle hills and dense forests. After around 1.5 to 2 hours, we reach Haidenberg, where traditional bread baking awaits us. Here we have the opportunity to learn more about the ancient craft of bread baking. After a leisurely break and enjoying the home-baked bread, we make our way back to Reischach. Every Friday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, the farm oven at Stacherhof is fired up, offering an authentic experience of traditional bread baking. In the traditional wood-fired oven, real farmhouse bread is made, while the entire process from grain to flour and from flour to the finished loaf is demonstrated. Step by step, traditional recipes, milling, dough preparation and baking are explained – all carried out with great care and passion. After baking, the experience continues with a short farm tour, where the animals are introduced and insights into everyday farm life are provided. Afterwards, participants are invited to enjoy a tasting of freshly baked bread along with selected specialties from the farm shop. The course takes place with a minimum of 5 participants. Every first Friday of the month from June to September, Kronplatz transforms into an impressive stage for one of humanity’s oldest traditions: falconry. We are, of course, referring to Sepp Innerkofler: a legend among mountain guides, a pioneer and a figure whose name is inextricably linked to the ‘Pale’ of the Sesto Dolomites. 4 July 2026 marked the 111th anniversary of his death. He fell during the First World War whilst defending his homeland; this is how he became famous. Here, however, we wish to present him as a visionary. What innovative ideas or solutions might Sepp have proposed for today’s challenges? How would he assess the dynamic between the masses of people and the modern need for relaxation in the mountains? And, consequently, the next question: what will Sexten look like in another 111 years? The exhibition is therefore also an invitation to think beyond the present. Let us dare to take a leap through time together with Sepp. Between yesterday, today and a possible tomorrow.
