Experience and discover our world of mushrooms, worth knowing about the species, the ecosystem, the biology and the edible or poisonous value. During a hike, a lot of useful information is passed on, both for mushroom connoisseurs and those who want to become one. Dogs are allowed on a leash.

Together with Lanz Active, we discover some hidden gems around Toblach. From Old Toblach, the hike leads past the parish church to the scenic ZweiWasserBrunnen, a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the village and surrounding mountains. Here, you can taste the two characteristic waters of Toblach: the iron-rich water from the foot of Mount Pfannhorn and the calcium-rich water from the Höhlenstein Valley. Following a quiet, little-used hiking trail, we continue through larch and spruce forests up to the Lachwiesenhütte, where a relaxing break offers stunning views of the Sexten and Prags Dolomites. A hike that combines mountaineering history, spectacular landscapes, and alpine nature in the heart of the Dolomites. We enjoy a relaxed and nature-oriented hike around the Rasner Möser biotope and the villages of Oberrasen and Niederrasen – perfect for relaxing, enjoying and discovering. We start at the cultural house in Oberrasen (1.080 m) and walk to the idyllic Rasner Möser biotope. We continue to the rest and barbecue area in Oberrasen and along the village loop trail (1.150 m) to Niederrasen, reaching Alpen Natur Camping (1.030 m). Ride the chairlift up to the Haunold/Baranci. From there we go in search of the giant Haunold and can explore his kingdom at various stations. The hike of about 5,5 km continues across the Schmiedelwiesen to the Wildbad and its various water sources. In the tranquillity of nature we learn many secrets of the forest as well as various forms of relaxation such as walking barefoot, treading water and relaxation exercises. Every Friday children can let off steam at the Gigante Baranci’s large mountain play area where there’s a wide-ranging entertainment programme with various guests and exciting games. Have fun!

The rangers will take a spotting scope with you: a look at the natural features of our nature park and perhaps even spot some animals! With them, you can explore various aspects of nature. They can be found at the entrances to the nature park every Thursday in July and August.

Every Friday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, the farm oven at Stacherhof is fired up, offering an authentic experience of traditional bread baking. In the traditional wood-fired oven, real farmhouse bread is made, while the entire process from grain to flour and from flour to the finished loaf is demonstrated. Step by step, traditional recipes, milling, dough preparation and baking are explained – all carried out with great care and passion. After baking, the experience continues with a short farm tour, where the animals are introduced and insights into everyday farm life are provided. Afterwards, participants are invited to enjoy a tasting of freshly baked bread along with selected specialties from the farm shop. The course takes place with a minimum of 5 participants. Each participant can take one loaf of bread home. Registration by Thursday, 6:00 pm.

From June to September, Kronplatz transforms into an impressive stage for one of humanity’s oldest traditions: falconry. Experience an emotional spectacle with majestic birds of prey and immerse yourself in the fascinating world of these extraordinary animals. During the approximately 1.5-hour show, an experienced falconer and his feathered companions present spectacular flight demonstrations — powerful, elegant, and completely free amidst the breathtaking mountain scenery of South Tyrol. What makes this experience truly special is that the birds are not simply displayed, but showcased in their natural behavior. Visitors have the rare opportunity to observe these magnificent animals up close and witness their incredible flying skills firsthand. The meeting point is easy to reach, and the short walk to the event location is suitable for everyone — including families with strollers. Participation in the event is free of charge.

At the Kids Fun Camp, children enjoy a day full of action and fun. With dirtboards, grass skis and bikes, they explore exciting tracks, while the sports trampoline, giant airbag and tubing park ensure endless excitement. Every Tuesday and Friday, children have the opportunity to ride a pony. Each ride lasts about 10 minutes and costs €15. No registration is required. The meeting point and starting location are at the Rotwandwiesenhütte hut. The pony rides are organized by the Unterlanerhof riding stable. The activity is cancelled in case of bad weather.

Kids & Bike In this action-packed pumptrack session, kids learn how to ride their bikes through the pumptrack in a fun and safe way. With targeted exercises, we show how to build speed by pushing and pulling (“pumping”) – without pedaling. Kids improve their balance, coordination, and bike handling skills. Step by step, they get familiar with berms, rollers, and small obstacles – always having fun and progressing at their own pace. Alma Mahler welcomes you The composition house in Carbonin Vecchia reopens its doors in the summer months....with a very special hostess Anyone who cultivates a passion for culture and music knows that Dobbiaco holds a treasure trove. Lying on a meadow overlooking the village and the entire valley, close to the forest towards Pian di Maia, is a small, simple wooden building. The building at first glance appears very modest, but stands proud and aware of its incredible significance and history. Between those planks, in fact, the famous Bohemian composer Gustav Mahler, accompanied by his beloved Alma, between the summers of 1908 and 1910, found peace and inspiration to compose some of his most beautiful and important symphonies, among them 'Das Lied von der Erde' (The Song of the Earth). After careful restoration, the composition house at the Trenkerhof finally reopens its doors to all those who want to breathe in the history and atmosphere of the Belle Epoque. During the summer months of July and August, every Wednesday and every Friday from 3 to 5 p.m., in collaboration with the Santer Family, owner of the cultural asset, every visitor will have the chance to step back in time and breathe in the magic of those places and the surrounding nature. They will be welcomed by a very special hostess... Alma, the composer's beloved companion until her death in 1911, herself an eclectic and important figure in the history of world culture, who will make the visit even more special with stories and anecdotes. On Saturday, the festival begins at 6.00 pm. The “Jung Puschtra” will perform from 7.00 pm, followed by a party in the festival tent from 10.00 pm. On Sunday, the festivities start at 10.30 am with “Rienzsound”. Afterwards, “Böhmische Enneberg”, the Peter Sigmair Brass Band and the group “Vollgas” will provide live musical entertainment. Great music, a lively atmosphere and culinary specialities await visitors on both days. The Mitterolang Volunteer Fire Brigade looks forward to welcoming many locals and guests.

Gustav Mahler Music Weeks Toblach 2026 The 45th Gustav Mahler Music Weeks will take place in Toblach from 11 July to 5 September 2026 under the theme “The Beginning.” Alongside long-standing Artistic Director Josef Lanz, Dirk Kaftan will shape the festival programme for the first time. Highlights include concerts by the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn, and the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento, as well as performances by promising young international artists. The programme is complemented by lectures, a symposium, the traditional hike to Gustav Mahler’s composing hut, and special encounters with guests such as Massimo Cacciari and Reinhold Messner. An evening of legend and virtuosity under the direction of Stefano Veggetti. According to legend, the devil appeared one night in a dream to the violinist Giuseppe Tartini and played him a sonata of such perfect beauty that, upon waking, Tartini was able to write it down only imperfectly. The result was his famous sonata "Il trillo del diavolo" (The Devil’s Trill). Tartini, however, was not the only "devil’s violinist" of his time: Francesco Maria Veracini, with his passionate virtuosity, and Pietro Locatelli, with his breathtaking technical audacity, also pushed the boundaries of what was possible on the violin. The soloist is the young French violinist Céleste Klingelschmitt, a prizewinner in the historical violin category at the 2026 Leipzig Bach Competition. Together with the participants of the Cordia Academy 2026, she brings this fascinating era—filled with passion and musical magic—vividly back to life. Free entry, donations welcome!
