Ride the cable car up to the Rotwand/Croda Rossa. The new 2.5-kilometre-long “Rock spirits” family circular trail at Croda Rossa invites adventures and history buffs to discover the secrets of this impressive mountain landscape. The Dolomites have held an irresistible fascination for centuries and the desire to climb their summits is as old as man himself. For a long time, the peaks, the so-called “Knottn” were considered frightening and inaccessible, inhabited only by ghosts and witches. But today, the “Rock spirits” circular trail offers the opportunity to explore this mystical world and to learn the stories of the mountains. Together with Lanz Active, we discover the impressive mountain landscape around Toblach. The starting point is Kandellen, from where we hike via the Wildbachhütte up to the Bonnerhütte at 2,340 m. The trail leads through striking natural and cultural landscapes at the foot of Mount Pfannhorn, passing former torrent gullies that are now secured by protective structures. At the top, a well-deserved lunch break awaits us with a magnificent view over the Puster Valley and the Dolomites. A varied tour combining nature, movement, and fascinating insights into the Alpine world. Depending on the tour, the hikes are suitable both for experienced hikers and for families and beginners. We experience a varied and scenic hike through the Antholz valley. We take the bus to Lake Antholz (1.640 m) and start our hike there. On hiking trail no. 1 we reach Wöhrer cabin (1.660 m; not managed) and from there continue on to Teufelsplatz. Along the left valley side we hike leisurely, gradually descending until we reach Antholz Mittertal (1.440 mk). Afterwards we follow the Müllerkoflweg (no. 1) to Burgegger Mill (1.225 m) and continue downstream to Antholz Niedertal (1.100 m). From there we return by bus to our starting point. The rangers will take a spotting scope with you: a look at the natural features of our nature park and perhaps even spot some animals! With them, you can explore various aspects of nature. They can be found at the entrances to the nature park every Thursday in July and August.

Every Friday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, the farm oven at Stacherhof is fired up, offering an authentic experience of traditional bread baking. In the traditional wood-fired oven, real farmhouse bread is made, while the entire process from grain to flour and from flour to the finished loaf is demonstrated. Step by step, traditional recipes, milling, dough preparation and baking are explained – all carried out with great care and passion. After baking, the experience continues with a short farm tour, where the animals are introduced and insights into everyday farm life are provided. Afterwards, participants are invited to enjoy a tasting of freshly baked bread along with selected specialties from the farm shop. The course takes place with a minimum of 5 participants. From June to September, Kronplatz transforms into an impressive stage for one of humanity’s oldest traditions: falconry. Visitors have the rare opportunity to observe these magnificent animals up close and witness their incredible flying skills firsthand. At the Kids Fun Camp, children enjoy a day full of action and fun. With dirtboards, grass skis and bikes, they explore exciting tracks, while the sports trampoline, giant airbag and tubing park ensure endless excitement. Every Tuesday and Friday, children have the opportunity to ride a pony. Each ride lasts about 10 minutes and costs €15. No registration is required. The meeting point and starting location are at the Rotwandwiesenhütte hut. The pony rides are organized by the Unterlanerhof riding stable. The activity is cancelled in case of bad weather.

Try out the biathlon feeling, with short introduction and shooting with the smallbore rifle. Anyone can join, with or without skis (children from 12 years).

Kids & Bike In this action-packed pumptrack session, kids learn how to ride their bikes through the pumptrack in a fun and safe way. With targeted exercises, we show how to build speed by pushing and pulling (“pumping”) – without pedaling. Kids improve their balance, coordination, and bike handling skills. Step by step, they get familiar with berms, rollers, and small obstacles – always having fun and progressing at their own pace. Perfect for young riders who want to discover the pumptrack and improve their skills! Alma Mahler welcomes you The composition house in Carbonin Vecchia reopens its doors in the summer months....with a very special hostess Anyone who cultivates a passion for culture and music knows that Dobbiaco holds a treasure trove. Lying on a meadow overlooking the village and the entire valley, close to the forest towards Pian di Maia, is a small, simple wooden building. The building at first glance appears very modest, but stands proud and aware of its incredible significance and history. Between those planks, in fact, the famous Bohemian composer Gustav Mahler, accompanied by his beloved Alma, between the summers of 1908 and 1910, found peace and inspiration to compose some of his most beautiful and important symphonies, among them 'Das Lied von der Erde' (The Song of the Earth). After careful restoration, the composition house at the Trenkerhof finally reopens its doors to all those who want to breathe in the history and atmosphere of the Belle Epoque. During the summer months of July and August, every Wednesday and every Friday from 3 to 5 p.m., in collaboration with the Santer Family, owner of the cultural asset, every visitor will have the chance to step back in time and breathe in the magic of those places and the surrounding nature. They will be welcomed by a very special hostess... Alma, the composer's beloved companion until her death in 1911, herself an eclectic and important figure in the history of world culture, who will make the visit even more special with stories and anecdotes. Soprano Renata Campanella and Stefano Giaroli, who accompanies her on the piano and presents the programme, take the audience on an emotional journey between myth and reality. Toblinger Knoten via ferrata – Leiternsteig The Toblinger Knoten (2,617 m) is one of the most scenic via ferrata destinations in the area around the Three Peaks. The striking rock tower rises directly opposite the famous peaks and offers an impressive panoramic view of the Sesto Dolomites. The ascent follows the historic Kaiserjägersteig via ferrata, which was built during the First World War and today delights visitors with exciting climbing sections and an alpine atmosphere. After a well-deserved rest at the summit with its unique panorama, the descent follows the easier via ferrata along the north-east ridge. Accompanied by an experienced mountain guide, this varied tour is a special experience for anyone wishing to discover the Dolomites from an extraordinary perspective. Guests staying at the Dreizinnenhütte can also set off on the tour directly from there. Gustav Mahler Music Weeks Toblach 2026 The 45th Gustav Mahler Music Weeks will take place in Toblach from 11 July to 5 September 2026 under the theme “The Beginning.” Alongside long-standing Artistic Director Josef Lanz, Dirk Kaftan will shape the festival programme for the first time. Highlights include concerts by the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn, and the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento, as well as performances by promising young international artists. Gustav Mahler's Ninth Symphony, composed in Dobbiaco (Toblach), unfolds as a soundscape of delicate intimacy, sharp irony, and eruptive energy. Dance-like episodes, grotesque distortions, and ethereal soundscapes alternate, showcasing the full variety of Mahler's musical language. Conductor Ustina Dubitsky received the Orchestra Prize from the La Maestra Academy in 2022. Following her time as assistant conductor with the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne, she made her debut at the Bavarian State Opera in 2024. The Trio Halma, founded in 2020 in the Upper Puster Valley, consists of Hannes Tschurtschenthaler, Magdalena Hintner and Alessandra Garavello. It combines classical and modern elements into a sophisticated classic crossover and creates musical-biographical concert programmes with reinterpretations of works by Udo Jürgens, Ennio Morricone and Josh Groban, among others.
