The enduro.tirol Tour is an all-mountain experience for all bikers who love mountain biking - since 2022, the enduro.tirol Tour has been held in the best MTB regions of Tyrol and South Tyrol. The enduro races run uphill, downhill, over hill and dale and also cross alpine terrain. From September 12 to 13, 2026, the enduro.tirol race will take place at Kronplatz.

Everything tastes better on the mountain, including breakfast! This is probably thanks to the fresh air and the great panoramic view. For brunch at the Ristorante Monte Elmo, it's definitely worth jumping out of bed early, even on weekends.

Traditional farmer and hands-craft market in the town centre! As one of the oldest market villages of South Tyrol, San Candido will follow the tradition of the farmer's market with a demanding and innovative program. The project is called "Heugabel" and describes the farmer market and the farmer life.

The Folk Music Day is all about singing, dancing, making music and sharing stories together. Throughout the day, music groups perform at various locations across the museum grounds. Dancing takes place on the larch-wood floor. The festival is organised by the South Tyrolean Folk Music Association, KFS Dietenheim/Aufhofen, the Heimatpflegeverband Südtirol, the Dietenheim/Aufhofen brass band and the South Tyrol Museum of Folk Traditions.

O’zapft is! Off we go to the 19th Tesido Oktoberfest! Oktoberfest atmosphere with traditional music, original Oktoberfest beer and a wide range of culinary specialities. Guided easy beginner’s hike This easy, guided hike is ideal for anyone who wants to get to know the mountains at a leisurely pace. Particularly during your first few days in the mountains, it offers the perfect opportunity to acclimatise to the altitude gradually, explore the surroundings and gain your first hiking experiences. Together with Lanz Active, we enjoy a varied hike at Kreuzbergpass, right on the border between South Tyrol and Belluno. From here, the trail gently ascends through a stunning high-mountain landscape towards Nemes Alm, a wide alpine pasture area used in summer for grazing livestock. Along the way, we take a worthwhile detour to Seikofel (1,908 m), offering magnificent panoramic views of the Sexten Dolomites and the Carnic Alps. We then continue to Nemes Alm, where we enjoy a relaxing lunch break surrounded by alpine scenery before returning to Kreuzbergpass. A scenic hike with around 400 meters of elevation gain and approximately 4 hours of walking time, combining nature, movement, and wide panoramic views. The herbs and Kneipp hike is an easy excursion that takes you through the surroundings of Gais, Riscone, and Stefansdorf. The walk leads along the forest path at the Haunold/Baranci valley station in direction of Toblach/Dobbiaco to the source of the Drau/Drava river. Paternkofel Via Ferrata – Innerkoflersteig The via ferrata up the Paternkofel (2,745 m) is one of the most impressive routes in the Sesto Dolomites. The route follows the former front line of the First World War and combines spectacular views with fascinating history. Highlights of the tour include the impressive war tunnels, the summit with its panoramic views, and the famous Paternsattel, which offers one of the most beautiful panoramic views in the Dolomites. From here, a unique view opens up onto the mighty north faces of the Three Peaks – an unforgettable photo opportunity. Accompanied by an experienced mountain guide, the tour leads from the Auronzo Hut over the Paternsattel to the Paternkofel. The subsequent descent follows the historic Innerkoflersteig trail and through the former war tunnels towards the Dreizinnen Hut. A real experience: Sunrise at the top of Monte Elmo! Discover how the sun arises from behind the mountains and illuminates the landscape. From the summit of Monte Elmo you can enjoy this experience of nature with 360° panoramic views of the Dolomites and the Central Alps.

Approx. 50-minute hike from the Auronzo Hut (2.330 m) to the Paternsattel. The blue hour is a time of calm and transition, announcing the upcoming sunrise with a picturesque play of colors. In the light of the rising sun, the Three Peaks reveal their full brilliance – a natural spectacle among the most beautiful in the Dolomites. The subsequent walk to the Langalm (breakfast option) and back to the starting point completes this unique nature experience. Round trip with the hiking bus. Drive with the mountain guide to the Auronzo hut (2,330 m). A 50-minute hike leads to the start of the via ferrata, during which you can already enjoy the stunning UNESCO Dolomite landscape. On the via ferrata, the mountain guide is happy to provide tips and tricks – the route is also perfect for beginners. Once you reach the summit (2,745 m), you are rewarded with a fantastic panorama and a unique view of the north faces of the Drei Zinnen. After a break at the top, the descent takes you through long tunnels from World War I, when part of the front ran right through the Dolomites. The via ferrata adventure ends at the Drei Zinnen hut, from where you hike back to the starting point. For the descent, the following options are available: - hike back to the Auronzo hut and return with the mountain guide - independent descent via Fischlein- or Innerfeldtal (approx. 3.5 hours) - independent continuation to the Büllelejochhütte and descent into the Fischleintal (approx. 4.5 hours) In the case of the independent continuation, the return journey is made using public buses. We go by taxi to the Schnegger Säge hut (1.487 m): There we start the hike via trail nr. 1 to the Silvesteralm hut and finally to the Steinbergalm hut (1.987 m, Three Peaks view). After the rest we go back on the same path to the starting point. Here we take the taxi again to return to Innichen/San Candido. Start in Reischach where you take the cable car up to Kronplatz. At the top, enjoy a 360° panoramic view before descending the Furcia Trail (S2, moderately difficult) – a flowing but partially technical trail with roots, tight corners and rocky sections – leading to the Furkel Pass (1,758 m). From the pass, a pleasant forest road winds down through woods and meadows into the Gadertal Valley to reach St. Vigil in Enneberg. After a short break, the tour continues steadily uphill to Pederü, first on asphalt, then on gravel roads.The alpine climb begins at Pederü, heading up to the Fanes Hut (2,060 m) on a well-maintained former military road. Though demanding, the climb is scenic and rewarding. Every Tuesday and Friday, children have the opportunity to ride a pony. Each ride lasts about 10 minutes and costs €15. No registration is required. The meeting point and starting location are at the Rotwandwiesenhütte hut. The pony rides are organized by the Unterlanerhof riding stable. The activity is cancelled in case of bad weather.

Knödel are not just dumplings, they are the ultimate South Tyrolean dish and no one knows this better than Franzi. Toblinger Knoten via ferrata – Leiternsteig The Toblinger Knoten (2,617 m) is one of the most scenic via ferrata destinations in the area around the Three Peaks. The striking rock tower rises directly opposite the famous peaks and offers an impressive panoramic view of the Sesto Dolomites. The ascent follows the historic Kaiserjägersteig via ferrata, which was built during the First World War and today delights visitors with exciting climbing sections and an alpine atmosphere. After a well-deserved rest at the summit with its unique panorama, the descent follows the easier via ferrata along the north-east ridge. With Giulietta, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00 a.m. at Prenninger Park. The activity takes place outdoors. Camminata Metabolica is a simple and special training programme designed to activate the metabolism, improve posture, reduce the waistline and specifically tone the abdominal and gluteal muscles.

Short walk over asphalt of approx. 20 minutes to the Huberhof farm. We visit the farm with stable, animals and garden. The experience for the whole family is rounded off with a tasting of typical farm products. The walk back to the starting point takes about 20 minutes. Together with Lanz Active, we discover a legendary hike in the area of the Hohe Gaisl (Croda Rossa d’Ampezzo). Inspired by the legend of the “Marmot Princess,” the route leads through a fascinating landscape where nature and imagination are closely intertwined. From Gemärk in the Höhlenstein Valley, we ascend through the Knappenfußtal, first along a pleasant forest trail and then via a series of switchbacks up to the Plätzwiese plateau. Alpinisteig The Alpinisteig is one of the most impressive historic via ferratas in the Sesto Dolomites. It was built during the First World War by Italian Alpine troops and leads through a stunning high-mountain landscape with spectacular views of the surrounding peaks. Although the via ferrata is technically fairly straightforward, it should not be underestimated due to its length and the possibility of snowfields – particularly at the start of the season. We start with the public bus to Sexten/Sesto and go with the cable car to the Helm/Monte Elmo (2.050 m). Here the hike begins via the Hüttensteig path nr. 20 to the Helmhaus and to the Rif. Since we will spend most of our time up on the beautiful border ridge and want to enjoy the mountain panorama flexibly, we recommend that all participants bring enough provisions, such as their own packed lunch. We enjoy a pleasant hike through the rural cultural landscape of Antholz Valley, with beautiful views and authentic farms. We start in Antholz Niedertal and walk to the Maierhöfe farms (Pfaffingerhof and Kaltenhauserhof), continuing to Wiesemannhof. From there, we head further into the valley towards Antholz Mittertal, staying above the village on trail no. 11 and passing Wanzler farm until we reach Innerkumpflhof. We then continue to the Eggerhöfe (refreshments available) and descend to Antholz Mittertal. On the opposite side of the valley, we follow trail no. 1, passing the Burgegger mill and Nössler farm, before returning comfortably to Antholz Niedertal to our starting point.

A morning at the farm: discover how organic quality is created, get to know farm life first-hand, and gain genuine insights into regional agriculture. Ideal for families and anyone wishing to experience Olang from its most authentic side.

Every Friday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, the farm oven at Stacherhof is fired up, offering an authentic experience of traditional bread baking. In the traditional wood-fired oven, real farmhouse bread is made, while the entire process from grain to flour and from flour to the finished loaf is demonstrated. Step by step, traditional recipes, milling, dough preparation and baking are explained – all carried out with great care and passion. After baking, the experience continues with a short farm tour, where the animals are introduced and insights into everyday farm life are provided. Afterwards, participants are invited to enjoy a tasting of freshly baked bread along with selected specialties from the farm shop. The course takes place with a minimum of 5 participants. Each participant can take one loaf of bread home. Registration by Thursday, 6:00 pm.

Arzalpenturm Via Ferrata The Arzalpenturm Via Ferrata, dedicated to Bepi Martini & Much Happacher and to friendship, is a spectacular new via ferrata offering wonderful views of the eastern Dolomites. The route crosses the narrow summit of the Arzalpenturm and leads up to the panoramic summit of the Arzalpenkopf. The descent via the secured Salasteig route or via the Arzalpenscharte round off this eventful day in the mountains. Saturday: Cortina Via Ferrata An exciting via ferrata adventure above the Olympic town of Cortina d’Ampezzo. The route leads to the historic Monte Castello, first passing through impressive World War I tunnels before continuing on a well-secured via ferrata to the summit. At the top, historic military positions and a breathtaking panoramic view of some of the most famous peaks in the Dolomites await – a unique blend of nature, history, and alpine adventure. As a GSTC-certified destination, the region 3 Zinnen Dolomites is committed to setting a strong example for sustainable tourism and active environmental protection. The idea is simple: nature lovers, guests and locals set out – individually or in small groups – to collect litter along hiking trails, in forests, around lakes, in villages and wherever waste has been left behind. The initiative is organised in cooperation with The Summit Foundation. Free litter bags and litter pickers are available at the local tourist offices. Our natural environment enriches our lives every day – now it's our turn to give something back. The cattle return from the alpine pastures to the valley and Sesto celebrates! The cows in particular are elaborately decorated on their return from the alpine pastures: the leading cow and the cows that follow her wear wreaths decorated with sayings, images of saints and elaborate embroidery.
